Becoming a shareholder is a commitment to native, heirloom, and endangered foods produced by regenerative agriculture practices. It is a commitment to supporting the production of the highest quality, nutrient-dense agricultural products, fostering community and dedication to health in yourself and the land. It is committing to a seasonal diet reminiscent of the homesteads of yesterday.
What is A produce farmshare?
A produce farmshare is a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) but on steroids. As a shareholder, you have once a week unlimited free choice access to our farm’s produce, herbs, flowers, eggs, and grain.
How does it work?
Unlimited free choice means you are in charge of choosing enough produce for your entire household to have three meals daily each day of the week. (Note: Every member of your household must purchase a share and commit to a full year.) We ask shareholders to be mindful of their exact needs so there is no waste and enough for the community to partake in. That being said, it is essential to understand the growing seasons, cycles, and seasonal eating. There will be times of limitations and others of great abundance. We encourage shareholders to preserve the summer abundance of produce for the winter months. Canning, pickling, freezing, and dehydrating can all be used.
We ask members to record what they take each week, not to monitor them, but to assist us in adjusting our production and better planning for the future.
Length & Pick Ups
Your commitment is for an entire year. June 1 - May 31 of the following year. Currently, we only offer on-farm pickup. Choose either Tuesday or Friday from 2-8 pm. We aim to be flexible, so contact us to make other arrangements if you cannot make your grocery day.
What’s in a share?
50+ types of seasonal vegetables & fruit
Forage-fed eggs - chicken, quail, occasionally duck
Pick-your-own herbs & flowers
Select whole grains & flour and beans
Is our produce Share a fit for You & Your household?
A produce farmshare is not for everyone. We have found the following to be true of happy shareholders:
You enjoy preparing meals at home from whole, local, seasonal ingredients
Your household prepares and eats meals together
The pick-up days, times, and location are convenient
You want organically produced produce and forage-raised eggs, which can be difficult to source from a traditional grocery store.
Shares, a 12-month commitment, are a financially viable option for your household.
